As the match draws closer the latest betting odds are in! There are some obvious bets for punters and a few surprises that could make you rich. Don’t miss a chance to gamble your life savings away at the inaugural Kunyung Cup. Let’s take a closer look at what’s on offer.

  • Whilst some late money has been coming in for Victor “globe” Bredin to make a first baller, Britton Upchurch remains a clear favourite after his recent performance in the nets.
  • We’re surprised T. Drummond is at such short odds for making a hundred, as he’ll likely smash the ball to point when he reaches the 80s. Whilst tempting, betting on C. Wells in the hundred catagory is unlikely to pay out big, as he’s going to struggle to make the 100 in the 20 over limit.
  • It’s clear that M. Drummond is capable of making a duck, but it’s very rarely the first ball, so it could be a bit of a risk to take a punt on him.
  • Also, don’t bet on S. Forster for most complaints, he doesn’t complain. Best to pick A. Richardson, who’s probably already complaining that he’s at $1.30 for most complaints.
  • M. Bent is a good bet at hitting a six by accident, so $50 is a handy price. Although if J. Mehrtens doesn’t go out first ball, he’s a sure thing!
  • Betting on James Graham is not recommended, as he’s most likely going to forget the event’s on.
  • Money is flooding in for B. Upchurch to cause a run out. This is for a number of reasons; firstly he’s never played cricket, secondly he’s American and thirdly there are a couple of confusing baseball bases painted on the far side of the oval. At $1.05 it’s still worth it! On the other end of the scale is S. Forster, who’s too quick to get run out, hence the long odds, but what about his batting partners?
  • J. Mehrtens is at $75 for taking a screamer, this probably has to do with the size of his hands, which means no catch he takes will ever be impressive. C. Wells and A. Richardson are both good bets to drop sitters, as they’ll be too hungover from the night before.
  • R. Jones is confusing the punters! He’s short odds to both take a screamer and drop a sitter. This is due to the fact he’s an excellent wicketkeeper, but has a tendency to showboat… who knows what will happen!
  • S.K. Graham is a favourite to bowl another gatting ball. However this might be in between multiple wides. B. Upchurch is a handy bet at $100, because if he manages to take a wicket, it will be the ball of the century.
  • Betting is rumoured to be almost suspended on the biggest hands market, as pundits are set to lose money on J. Mehrtens at $0.55. If you want the feeling of a sure win, however, he is the one to bet on. Any other bets on competitors would be wasteful, as they have no chance of winning.
  • B. Upchurch is the favourite to get out hitting their wicket, however we’re not sure why! T. Drummond could be a value bet, as he may get over confident and try a reverse sweep paddle shot that could hit his own stumps.
  • J. Graham is at good odds to take out the best sledge, however it’s a battle between the Red Hill Primary employees, with J. Mehrtens one to watch.
  • J. Dunstan has some good ammunition on S. Forster for sledging, however could turn on his own teammates as his captain is dating his sister.
  • M. Bent has very long odds for best sledge, as he is too nice to say anything bad about anyone. However, he is the favourite to turn up late to the venue, a market he is normally an overwhelming leader, but faces some good competition from James Graham. However, pundits are worried that if Graham is not there on time he has forgotten about the match entirely.

Good luck!
